The WPT GRAND PRIX DE PARIS is the poker event of the spring at the Aviation Club de France. For the 12th consecutive
year, the WPT Grand Prix de Paris, a € 10 000 buy-in No Limit Hold’Em tournament will be the main event of the “Rendez-
Vous à Paris” festival, sixteen days of tournaments organized from May, 1st to 16th at the Aviation Club de France.
As an international event, the WPT Grand Prix de Paris represents a very popular stop for many players. From 2002 to
2006, the Grand Prix de Paris has been the only European step of the prestigious World Poker Tour. The World Poker Tour
select tournaments based on prestige, prize money, geography, and visual appeal to create an upscale, international
image for poker.
Each year the best world poker players come to this tournament such as Daniel Negreanu, Howard Lederer , Scotty
Nguyen, Dave Uliott « Devilfish », Phil Ivey, Chris Fergusson, Gus Hansen, Roland de Wolfe, Jan Boubli, Marcel Luske, Dave
Colclough, Surinder Sunar, David Benyamine, Bertrand « Elky » Grospellier, etc … This year again, they will be there!
Last year 138 players fought to win the € 1 311 000 prize pool. The trophy and the € 419 520 had been won by an Italian
player, Fabrizio Ricci.
This year, the World Poker Tour is back at the ACF. The WPT Grand Prix de Paris will be played during 6 days, May 8th to
13th , 2010. The WPT Grand Prix de Paris will as usual be broadcast and media covered by a lot of European and
international magazines and websites.
The broadcast will show the vibes of this fascinating universe: an international poker tournament at the
Aviation Club de France.
The technology that allows viewers to see hole cards, combined with expert commentary, and a live audience, will give
spectator poker an interactive edge and the excitement of a sporting event.
On Thursday, May 13th, the final table show with the last 6 players left will be aired on TV few months later.
